• Provide general administrative support maintaining various forms and logs used for tracking observation program performance.
• Provide general customer service and support to the public, stakeholders, and other organizations.
• Provide facility support through routine inspections of buildings and housing units.
• Receive, operate, and maintain atmospheric and climatologic data collection equipment including the Vaisala Autosonde, hydrogen generator, water distiller, and various precipitation measuring equipment.

RequirementsConditions of Employment

• Incumbent is required to obtain and/or maintain valid driver\'s license.
• The field work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items, such as boxes of radiosondes and balloons. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as above average agility and dexterity.
• Government housing may be required. Position may be located in remote geographic area with limited access to amenities.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.To qualify at the GS-07 level:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following:

• Collecting and updating atmospheric and climatologic data for the preparation of forms and actions;
• Processing or maintaining records or documents for an office; and
• Providing procurement or budget support.
