If so, we may be workplace you\'ve been looking for. Petzl America, Inc., is looking for a Controller to join our amazing team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This person will manage all functions associated with the business and finance operations of Petzl America. Responsibilities include the creation and administration of policies and procedures concerning accounting, budgeting, payroll, purchasing and risk management operations. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of five years relevant experience, though 7+ years is preferred. You should have a BA/BS degree in a related field and holding an MBA, CMA or CPA is also preferred. This position will use SAP and PowerBI regularly so knowledge of these programs would be a bonus.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Formulate and administer policies and procedures for the business and finance operations of Petzl America, including accounting, audit procedures, purchasing, payroll, and risk management
• Direct and supervise personnel within the finance operations
• Participate in the formulation and negotiation of financial proposals
• Administer budget organization and submission, including monitoring and reporting budget-to-actual figures to budget managers and stakeholders
• Direct and supervise the preparation of all financial reports and records
• Establish and apply a system of internal controls which assure legal and fiscal compliance with laws, rules, and generally accepted practices applicable to the operation
• Coordinate and implement the recommendations of the CPA auditors relative to accounting practices

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This position has the ability to have a hybrid schedule which requires 3 days in the office per week.
