The Finance Specialist will be responsible for the following activities under the supervision of the Chief, FPMR:
In close collaboration with the FPMR team, presents the proposal for the revised note disclosures with the overall approach, disclosure options, and timeline for implementation.
In close collaboration with the FPMR team, defines and establishes the accounting requirements and procedures for a dedicated MIP fund in the ERP system and produces an SOP to document the accounting.
Provides year-end financial reporting and financial closure support as determined by the Chief of FPMR.
Provide professional support and advice to the the year-end financial audit.
The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organisation

Having an audit experience in a large public auditing firm
Having an experience working with UN organizations or comparable international INGOs.

Required Skills and Experience
Education:
A professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy, and/or Advanced (master\'s) University Degree in Finance and/or Accounting is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 7 years (with Master\'s degree) or 9 years (with professional accounting qualification).
Language:
Proficiency in the English language.
Working knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
