Position Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis team is responsible for all financial forecasting and planning for Purpose Financial and its family of brands. This position will support our business partners across the organization by providing timely financial reporting, assisting with the Annual Budget/Plan & Reforecast processes, and performing analyses of our core operations or products. We work in a demanding environment; the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines is required. The successful candidate will be initiative-taking and thrive in a team-focused, highly communicative environment.

Job Responsibility

The primary responsibility for the successful candidate is to learn our business and grow their skillset through hands-on experience with reporting, analyses, and involvement in large projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting, P&L\'s, and analyses to provide insight into business results, performance trends, and areas of improvement.
  • Contribute to presentations enabling Finance leadership to clearly communicate business results to Company\'s stakeholders.
  • Assist in facilitating partnership between Finance and Accounting teams to understand and incorporate actuals into reporting.
  • Support the development and preparation of the annual plan, forecasts, and various modeling exercises.
  • Contribute to financial analyses and monitor key performance indicators with direction from senior members of the team.
  • Ad-hoc requests, what-if analyses, and other duties as assigned.

Education Required

BS Degree in Finance, Economics, or similar field of study.

Experience Required

Priority will be given to demonstrable skillsets; in general, 3-5 years of related experience is appropriate (could include co/op or intern experience). Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential as well as strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment. Applicants with less experience but the right attitude and knowledge base will be considered as an analyst.

Knowledge Required

Excellent written and verbal communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to a changing environment; and comfortable working in a dynamic, high volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products.

Must have and will frequently employ knowledge of accounting practices and strong Excel skills (able to work with large data sets, strong understanding of Vlookups, Sumifs, pivot tables and moderate experience with VBA). Ability to develop or utilize models and foster a customer service mentality to ensure a high level of service to all. Advanced critical thinking, problem solving, and sound judgment to escalate issues to manager.

Physical Requirements
