The Financial Controller will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and projecting operating expenses for the dental & vision businesses, as well as developing and maintaining insightful reporting & analysis of expenses to assist in business decisions. This role will work closely with leadership from across the Dental & Vision businesses, including but not limited to Strategy, Contracting, Network, Marketing, Sales, Product, Operations, and the central Financial Projections & Analysis team. It will entail development of a strong understanding of the businesses\xe2\x80\x99 operating costs, including end-to-end expense reporting processes and data flows, streamlining & consolidating processes where appropriate, and effective application of technology for data management purposes.
Like most Financial Controller roles, there will be an emphasis on operating expenses that are directly under the business\xe2\x80\x99 control and helping the business manage to a budget. Unlike many other Controller roles, this role will also be responsible for helping the business understand expenses that are allocated to it (expenses that support multiple products, allocation of overhead, etc.).

Primary Responsibilities:
Create quarterly & monthly operating expense reports and perform meaningful analysis & forecasting to help drive business decisions.
Perform dental and vision expense projections on a quarterly basis to inform the earnings forecast.
Perform analysis as needed to understand the effect of strategic changes in the business.
Collaborate with Vision business partners to support strategic insights & maintain/improve the Vision process to best meet business needs.
Maintain scorecards and other key decision support tools to help inform strategy, including but not limited to managing the dental & vision business\xe2\x80\x99 budget.
Communicate with matrix partners to provide insight & context around actual & forecasted expenses, both in aggregate and for various subsets of the dental & vision business, as well as the implications of strategic decisions under consideration
Participate in monthly review meetings to analyze and explain dental results.
Extract, analyze, and validate datasets as part of ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Finance or other related field strongly preferred
4+ years of financial analysis, actuarial or related work experience
Healthcare or insurance industry experience preferred
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial / business acumen
Possession of a strong desire and demonstrated ability to lead

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 89,300 - 148,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
