There is NOT a remote option.The schedule will be 20 hours/week with a schedule to be arranged with your supervisor.Part-time employees are eligible for benefits at a prorated rate. Your dedication will help us achieve the Child Welfare that will support children and young adults to be safer, healthier, experience less trauma and achieve a greater well-being.As an Office Specialist, you will:Process one-time payments including funds requests / SPOTS purchases, resource parent mileage reimbursements, resource parent childcare reimbursements, and travel reimbursements.Greet clients, public and other agency officials at the front reception desk, providing assistance as needed, notifying appropriate staff of client\xe2\x80\x99s arrivals and directs visitors to appropriate meeting rooms.File closed case files, pull case files as needed, periodically remove older closed cases for archiving, prep & log information, create archive list, send to archiveWhat you need to qualifyTwo years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; ORAn associate degree in any field; ORAn equivalent combination of education and experience.Essential attributesWe are looking for candidates with:Experience with organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing work and paying close attention to details.Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer (or other web browser), and other computer applications.Experience handling and maintaining confidential information.Experience explaining rules and procedures to a wide variety of people.Experience working both independently and cohesively with a team.Experience interacting with a wide variety of people in a respectful and compassionate manner.Experience using customer service skills that include going above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.Please be sure to clearly describe how you meet these attributes within your application materials. These attributes will be used to determine which candidates will be selected to move forward in the process.Working conditionsYour work will be conducted in an office setting - this is NOT a remote position.This position may also require heavy lifting (files, car seats, children\'s belongings).This position requires working a flexible schedule as a condition of employment with a normal workday of 8 hours, 8-5 or as established with your supervisor. However, working hours may be adjusted within a given week, to provide planned services. The position may include Swing Shift, Nights, Weekends and HolidaysThis is a part-time position (20 hours per week).You may have required travel for the purpose of attending trainings.You may interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.You may walk into stressful situations that require quick decision-making skills to ensure safety of those being serviced and your own physical safety.
