The initial screening will be solely based on the contents and completeness of the application materials submitted.DutiesKey responsibilities of a Fiscal Technician 2 include, but are not limited to:Maintains 'OnBase' our fiscal record keeping system, in a variety of clerical projects and assignments to include complex electronic or manual file systems
  • Independently process, scan and save into OnBase; all payroll related documents from paper or electronic files such as Outlook Public Folders or Shared Inboxes while referencing State and DOC guidelines, policy, retention schedules, and processes. All paper files require in office presence.
Miscellaneous Payroll Duties
  • In Office Tasks Include:
  • Prepares and processes bank deposits - Daily.
  • Incoming and outgoing mail processing & distribution - Daily.
  • 3rd Party Remittance Checks - Each pay date.
  • Other Tasks Include:
  • Monitor and distribute email communication from shared Outlook inboxes to applicable Action Folders.
  • Prepare and Upload A-19's and JV's to AFRS.
Coordination and completion of Public Records requests
  • Under supervision of the Fiscal Analyst 3 Payroll Trainer, coordinate and complete Public Records Request. Depending on the status of the records, this may require in office presence to scan paper documents.
Other duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications:
  • A Business focused Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or foreign equivalent, with minimum 20 accounting credits to include Accounting 201, 202, 203 and Governmental Accounting.
  • Six (6) months or more experience using copy machines and scanners. Professional work experience using OnBase or a similar scanning/archiving system.
  • Professional level Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Excel.
  • Two (2) years progressive clerical experience.
  • Proficient computer skills, including basic skills in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  • Basic proficiency level with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment.

Telework DetailsThis position may be eligible to telework after initial in-office training is complete. Work may be performed from your home or another offsite location within the state of Washington using a reliable internet or cellular hotspot service. Employees are expected to perform assigned duties in a safe manner, to take proper care all state-issued equipment, and maintain confidentiality of all information in possession while working offsite. Employees will be required to commute to a Department of Corrections facility as business requires.Additional Information:
