THE POSITION

Looking for the chance to get your foot in the door? PEMA is seeking a detail-oriented individual for a two-year limited term fiscal position. In this position, you\'ll assist in processing FEMA disaster reimbursements.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The person in this position will work independently to account for costs, prepare reports, and submit documentation for reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Works with FEMA and agency staff to answer questions. Technical assistance is provided to applicants on registering and updating information for payments to be made. You will review invoices and other payment requests, assist with resolving invoicing discrepancies, and process accounting adjustments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Limited Term Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or one year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
