Manages investment process to provide sound and timely credit decisions for new investments
Analyzes, evaluates and recommends commitments to both Funds (private equity, mezzanine, secondary and senior debt) and direct co-investments
Identifies risks quickly and evaluates appropriately
Analytic work is well-documented and uses current tools and information sources
Investment program demonstrates:
Good credit risk decisions in industry, sector, global context investments consistent with portfolio investment, financial objectives and Alternatives\xe2\x80\x99 strategy
Makes a substantive contribution to departmental program plan
Helps lead Alternative Investments\xe2\x80\x99 team in proactively managing portfolio to meet financial objectives.
Participates in the development of new investment ideas and strategies
Actively monitors holdings and identifies restructuring / sale opportunities
Anticipates and manages problem credits
Participates in General Partner meetings including quarterly updates, annual meetings and advisory board meetings
Helps drive organizational renewal and team-building priorities
Shares market and sector information appropriately with colleagues across the organization
Assists in compiling and improving the Alternatives Quarterly Report
Qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in finance or a related discipline
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Analytical ability
Ability to work overtime
