We're seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team to serve our surrounding Athens, GA communities. The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Travel to hospitals in the area to staff within the pharmacy, assists with pharmacy projects, and provide additional support as needed
Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel
Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies
Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations
Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorders them accordingly
Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist
Performs tasks related to sterile compounding, including but not limited to clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space
Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations based on end-user need
Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s)
Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
Travel: This position will work at multiple hospitals around the Madison, Ga area. The majority of travel is within 1 hour and a half radius of Madison, GA with a maximum travel radius of 2 hours. Mileage reimbursement included as well as incentive pay.
Schedule Details:
Full-time (4-5 days per week; 30-40 hours per week)
One weekend per month
