We are seeking a Skate Floor Guard to become an integral part of our team! The Skate floor guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and enjoyable skating experience for customers at the roller rink. They monitor the skating area, enforce safety regulations, provide assistance to skaters, and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the facility.
Responsibilities
Safety Monitoring:
Continuously patrol the roller rink floor to ensure that skaters are following safety rules and guidelines.
Identify and address unsafe behavior, including reckless skating and rule violations.
Watch for obstacles or hazards on the skating surface and take immediate action to remove or mitigate them.
Manage the flow of skaters on the rink floor to prevent overcrowding and maintain a safe skating environment.
Assist with directing skaters during special events or sessions.
Assistance and Customer Service:
Provide assistance to skaters who may be experiencing difficulties or accidents, such as falls or collisions.
Offer guidance and basic instruction to novice skaters.
Answer customer questions and address concerns regarding skating rules and procedures.
Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner to enhance their experience.
Promote a positive and enjoyable atmosphere within the roller rink.
Completing other task given by management
Enforcement of Rules & First Aid/Emergency Response
Enforce roller rink rules and regulations, such as speed limits, direction of skating, and any age restrictions.
Politely remind customers of the rules when necessary and escalate issues to management if needed.
Administer basic first aid, including cleaning and bandaging minor injuries, and summoning professional medical help for more serious injuries.
Follow emergency protocols in the event of an accident or medical emergency.
Call for management and assist with incident report.
Maintain Cleanliness & Equipment Inspection:
Help keep the roller rink floor and surrounding areas clean and free of debris.
Sweeping and scraping skate floor before and after each shift
Assist with routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Regularly inspect rental skates and ensure they are in good working condition.
Report any damaged or unsafe skates to the appropriate staff for maintenance or replacement.
Qualifications:
Strong attention to safety and the ability to remain alert and vigilant during working hours.
Knowledge of roller-skating techniques, safety procedures, and roller rink rules.
Basic first aid skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to skate proficiently, as you may need to demonstrate proper skating techniques.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as roller rinks often have peak hours during these times.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
