SUMMARY: Responsible for ordering and maintaining wines sold in all restaurant outlets. Must have the ability to make sound buying decisions that are consistent with company's objectives. Assists guest with wine selections in the gourmet room.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Orders and maintains wine inventory in accordance with company objectives. 2. Assists guest with wine selections during dinning to ensure a superior guest service experience. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Interfaces with winery's and wine distributors. Attends wine tasting and similar functions to enhance knowledge of the existing market.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma. Must have legible handwriting. 2. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public. 3. Work may include weekends, nights, and holidays. Must be able to work on own, without constant supervision. 4. Must have extensive knowledge about wine and food parings. 5. Must have successfully completed an accredited Sommelier program.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke and high noise levels. Must have demonstrated ability in maintaining consistent, high quality guest service levels.

Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.
