Food Runner
SUMMARY: Assists all cooks with basic job duties. Ensures food is brought from the kitchen and supporting areas to the line in a timely manner. Maintains kitchen supplies necessary to prepare foods. Ensures that hot line, salad station, and dessert stations are well stocked.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Transports food items to the appropriate areas.
2. Delivers items from the Preparation station.
3. Maintains a clean and well-stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines.
4. Completes all assigned side work.

None listed. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma.
2. Ability to stand, walk, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
3. Work may include weekends, nights, and early mornings.
4. Must be able to carry and balance service tray on shoulder.
5. Must be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position.
6. Musts have the ability to work in a team environment.
7. At least 6 months kitchen experience in a high volume establishment preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to work in a wet and humid area with high noise levels.. Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases. Must be able to stand for extended periods.
