Food Runner

Bretton Woods is a private golf and recreation center in the Germantown/Darnestown/Poolesville area that offers food and beverage services in multiple areas on our beautifully landscaped 269 acres. This position will be filled by a person that can work indoors, outdoors, evenings, weekends, and summer holidays. We cross train all F & B staff to be capable of providing tableside service in the restaurant, on the outdoor patios, and at our pool snack bar.

You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each others success, you will work in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment to provide our members with an exceptionally distinctive dining experience while serving members and their guests food to enjoy!

Requirements and Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Previous club food serving experience preferred.

Essential Functions

Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the clubroom function space, pre-function space and storage areas to include the carpet, walls, walks, doors, and windows. Maintains the clubroom in a neat and organized manner stocked with any and all appropriate supplies necessary for meetings or food service functions. Breaks down after the completion of functions and ensures that all equipment and supplies are stored properly. Responsible for expediting plates and ensuring plates are to standard. Handling hot plates. Refreshes meeting rooms as needed. Notifies management of any hazards. Assists servers in their set-up, service, trash, and clean-up tasks. Cleans dining room areas. Stocks servers station with supplies. Collects trash from dining area following the conclusion of the function. Dusts chairs before and after function. Cleans up spills, broken service ware and attends to similar problems during service with minimal disruption to diners. Attends pre-service training (line-up meeting). Performs other appropriate duties as assigned. Follows all club guidelines pertaining to table setting and sequence of service. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations. Assist with running food to tables and assisting other clubroom staff as needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid, and noisy environment.
