The salary range for this position is $16.50 - $21.45 (Hourly Rate).Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. • Prepares cold food items for patients and cafeteria.xc3x82
• Take Room Service orders including employee/patient/family initiated orders and those patients needing assistance.xc3x82
• Complete tray assembly.
• Ensures food meets all safety and sanitary regulations and completes all required documentation.
• Data entry using Microsoft Excel.
• Basic cash handling.
• Maintains a safe, clean, neat and orderly cooking area.
• Ensures all department policies and programs are adhered to.
• Ensure satisfaction in quality and service using problem resolution skills as necessary.
• Completes daily position checklists, cleaning duties and all required documentation.
• Completes all mandatory in-service trainings and meets employee health requirements.

• Washes and sanitizes all food service equipment used for patients and cafeteria service.xc3x82 xc3x82
• Replaces items to their proper place of storage.
• Demonstrates ability to exercise independent judgment in times of need.
• Assist with putting away stock using the FIFO (first in, first out) method.
• Cleans and sanitizes cafeteria service items.

QualificationsRequired:

• High School graduate or GED required or, in lieu of education, must have one to three yearsxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99 experience in a cafeteria, healthcare, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting, preferably in tray line or dish/pot position
• Food Handler certification within 180 days of hire
• Able to operate a cash register and various kitchen equipment (blenders, food processors, dish machine, label maker, etc.); possesses manual dexterity and motor skills to work equipment as needed.
• Basic computer skills including ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred:

• Six months previous food service experience
