job summary:
A Fossil Fuel Boiler Maintenance Scheduler is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the New York City, NY area. This position must excel in Primavera P6 software, handling schedules and resource loading, analyzing schedules, understanding CPI, SPI, and S-Curves, and effectively communicating, with advancement potential to Project Control Manager.

responsibilities:

• Schedule and plan maintenance activities for fossil fuel boilers.

• Work with daily and hourly schedules, ensuring alignment with multiple calendars.

• Utilize Primavera P6 for scheduling and resource loading.

• Possess knowledge of boiler tube replacements.

• Understand and apply CPI, SPI, and S-Curves.

• Analyze schedules and identify critical paths.

• Communicate effectively through verbal and written means.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in fossil fuel boiler maintenance, specifically performing outage work.

• Proficiency with Primavera P6 software.

• Ability to work with multiple calendars, daily and hourly schedules.

• Skill in resource loading schedules.

• Desired experience with boiler tube replacements.

• Familiarity with CPI (Cost Performance Index), SPI (Schedule Performance Index), and S-Curves is helpful.

• Capability to analyze schedules and recognize critical paths.

• strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience in managing other schedulers is a plus and could qualify for a Project Control Manager position.

• Potential for supervising lower-level Project Control Engineer/Specialists and support personnel.

• Availability for paid overtime and occasional on-site presence.

Education/Experience:

• A Technical College degree is preferred but not required, especially if the candidate holds P6 Certification.

• Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
