Overview:Sierra Tucson, a world renowned residential treatment center, is seeking a full time Admissions Coordinator, to work at our beautiful campus in Tucson Arizona.PURPOSE STATEMENT:Primarily responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family.Shift: Day shift, including one weekend dayBenefits of working at Sierra Tucson: Residential Treatment Center:

*** Salary dependent on a candidatexe2x80x99s experience and qualifications *** Responsibilities:PURPOSE STATEMENT:Primarily responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:xc2xb7 Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.xc2xb7 Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.xc2xb7 Respond promptly to inquiry calls.xc2xb7 Schedule assessments.xc2xb7 Conduct pre-admission assessments.xc2xb7 Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.xc2xb7 Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission.xc2xb7 Coordinate with referral sources.xc2xb7 Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients.xc2xb7 Responsible for maintaining all the documentation involved with the admissions process.OTHER FUNCTIONS:xc2xb7 Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. Qualifications:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:xc2xb7 High school diploma or equivalent required with college degree preferred.xc2xb7 One year experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:xc2xb7 Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC); Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDC) or Certified Employee Assistance Program (CEAP) certification preferred.xc2xb7 CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).xc2xb7 First aid may be required based on state or facility.While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictateSTU01#LI-ST
