Eastern States Construction Service, Inc. is currently seeking a

Full Charge Accountant

to join the highly talented Accounting team. This position will be responsible to accurately and timely perform various Accounts Receivable and Payroll duties and additionally provide support to the Construction Controller.



The

Full Charge/Senior Accountant is a hands-on position and responsible to:





Manage and assist with the accurate preparation of ~ 100 employee weekly payroll (including certified and prevailing wage) and related tax filings Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to book of accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. Reconcile sub-ledger accounts. Verify and reconcile contracts, orders and vouchers; prepare reports to substantiate transactions. Review the preparation of Time & Material and AIA invoices. Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports. Assist with collection efforts. Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements. Prepare analysis of accounts as requested. Work with accounting team to continually improve efficiency of department. Assist with year-end closing. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
