Summary

We are seeking a Cut Table Operator to join our team at Manko Window Systems in Des Moines, iowa . Glass cutting involves the breaking out and racking of glass from an automated cutting system. Occasional custom hand cutting will be required. This is a fast passed, near constant movement position. Also works with other departments. Performs all other duties as assigned. This is a full time non-exempt position reporting to the Cut Table Supervisor requiring 40+ Hours a week. Typical cut table schedule is approximately Monday to Friday, 4am - 2pm.

Responsibilities

Operate machinery, this includes control power, automated retrieval system, and automated glass cutting table Organize priorities for daily production of glass cutting table Responsible for utilizing glass racking system Understand quality requirements for glass Conduct meticulous quality checks on finished products Precisely handle glass to ensure safety & quality Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Communicate with departments to complete recuts Wear proper safety equipment

Required Skills/Abilities

Organized and have an eye for detail Ability to use specialized computer system Ability to adapt to changing production priorities Be able to read a tape measure Be able to read English and do basic math Must have basic computer skills Be able to properly utilize hand tools Must work well on a team

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)

Physical Requirements:

Be able to carry and rotate up to 50 lbs for 10-30 feet frequently Be able to carry and rotate up to 95 lbs for 10-30 feet occasionally Be able to team lift glass greater than 95lbs Be able to stand or walk up to 12 hours a day Be able to walk, reach forward, and have bilateral hand coordination frequently Must wear all required PPE
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
