Job Description


:

This position reports to the Linde Advanced Material Technologies Global Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Director and will have direct environmental compliance responsibility for all Linde AMT facilities. This is a working manager position in that you will provide guidance, assistance and support to Linde AMT Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) directors and managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain Linde compliance with permits and air, waste, and water regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support for developing permit applications (Title V and NSR), amendments (Title V and NSR) and permit exemptions.
  • Ensure key compliance metrics are tracked and management systems are implemented to improve performance throughout the businesses.
  • Create, implement, and maintain environmental management systems to comply with air, and water permits and air, water, and waste regulations.
  • Aid plants and regional SHE managers with environmental compliance reporting such as LDAR reports, CEMS reports, Annual Waste Summary,
  • Emission Inventory, TRI Report, TSCA compliance, REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, Tier II reports, Discharge monitoring reports and Title V Deviations Reporting.
  • Serve as a point of contact and provide technical support for environmental compliance questions for facility staff and regional SHE managers.
  • Identify training required for environmental (air, water, waste) permitting compliance and work to help implement training to operation, engineering, and other facility staff.
  • Release reporting and recordkeeping as required by company policy, environmental regulations, and environmental permits.
  • Participates in business level and corporate level assessments.
  • Develops and maintains business/Corporate environmental related programs, procedures and environmental compliance tasks.
  • Review current and proposed legislation to determine applicability for Linde.
  • Ensure best practices are shared amongst the businesses and develop synergies to achieve outstanding results.
  • Reviewing Exception Reports and Following up with environmental specialists/plants if there are any issues.
  • Takes the lead and inspires others to contribute in a manner that ensures alignment and environmental compliance.
  • Forms partnership and works as part of the team within the Regional Linde groups and operations & maintenance within Linde
  • Anticipates future situations and needs, planning to meet them.
  • The candidate must be able to interface with State and Federal Regulatory Agencies on permit applications, permit negotiations, agency inspections, enforcement issues and reports.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • A Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Management, Science or a technical discipline preferred plus 5+ years environmental experience in air, water/waste. Experience may be substituted for the bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Strong working knowledge and practical application of environmental legislation, standards, and codes
  • Experience in the implementation of environmental management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and create reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Additional training in Environmental regulations is a plus
  • Computer experience required with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
This position requires 30-40% travel with overnight stays.

This position may also be filled at a lower level depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate
