Powering Progress.POSITION SUMMARY:The Global Network Manager position will be responsible for managing a globally distributed group of network engineers, architecting, developing and implementing and supporting network infrastructure, security and telephony solutions, and delivering global and regional infrastructure projects.The Global IT Network Manager will serve as the network solution architecture lead, recommending strategy, and developing innovative solutions to continually progress and advance the global infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, Data Centre, Cloud, collaboration and telephony solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.150%Responsible for the solution architecture, implementation, and evolution of the Global Network including Data Center and Cloud networks, VoIP, Collaboration and Security systems220%Remains informed of new technical developments and trends in the industry, make recommendations to management on desirable network solutions and opportunities, and lastly research, evaluate and document new products and tools.310%Ensures the network team follows the correct defined standards, procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.410%Guides the network team through the development, testing and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively.510%Engage and solve technical issues as an escalation for both operational and project issues.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This role will be responsible for 6 to 7 network and voice engineers. This role will also be expected to function as a lead role to coordinate work and set overall strategy.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Educated to degree level or similar experience, in a Computer Science subject or related equivalent
  • CCNP, CCIE, or similar experience
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in the design, delivery and support of enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless solutions
  • Design, delivery and support of data center and cloud networking solutions
  • Design, delivery and support of network security, firewalls and VPN solutions
  • Design, delivery and support of telephony and collaboration systems, ideally Microsoft Teams Voice
  • Level 3 support experience and leading troubleshooting of complex issues
  • Routing TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, PPP, IPVPN, VoIP, RTP, Multicast, RADIUS, TACACS+
  • EIGRP, BGP, MPLS
  • VPNs (IPSec and SSL)
  • Cisco routers, LAN Switches and Wireless LAN controllers
  • Cisco Meraki solutions
  • Cisco Data Center design and ideally knowledge of Nexus switches
  • Security design and device hardening
  • SASE solutions and design
  • Knowledge and experience of cloud security vendors such as Zscaler or Netskope
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Palo Alto URL Filtering, Global Protect, Wildfire, Threat Prevention
  • Administration and Reporting
  • Knowledge of ITILv3
  • Disaster Recovery Services and Procedures
  • Project management experience of global, complex projects
  • Must have experience of managing 3rd party suppliers & service providers across multiple sites & countries
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Advanced communication skills, written and verbal, across all levels of the business
  • Able to discuss complex technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in troubleshooting and ability to understand and implement client requirements.
  • Experience in partnering with business leaders on developing and driving global initiatives.
  • High Level interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence and coach across multiple levels within the company and locations; including establishing global partnerships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • Change management leadership capability
  • Experience with acquisition integration preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and other ERP systems, such as Oracle.
  • Ability to travel internationally as defined by the Business
  • Knowledge of collaboration and conference platforms
  • Knowledge of IVRs, Auto attendants, Hunt Groups
  • Knowledge of telecommunication protocols (SIP, TDM)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to assume leadership duties in leading implementation and/or design
  • Strong, resilient individual capable of dealing with the typical tensions that arise within a IT service environment
