Overview

The Golf Club of Avon is seeking a Golf Shop Associate to join our team. This position is a key part of the Golf Staff and is involved with many of the aspects of the golf operation at the Club. This position can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate.

About the Club

The Golf Club of Avon is a Private, Member-Owned Club providing a range of family-oriented recreational and social activities. The Club provides 27 holes of golf, a practice range, short game area, a racquet center featuring tennis, pickleball, paddle tennis, and an aquatic facility. The golf season runs from March through November and hosts 26,000 rounds of golf annually. The Golf Club of Avon is an active country club with 550 members (325 golf) and their families who genuinely care about community, and the employees of the Club.

Qualifications

Background in golf, merchandising, or retail Team Player Strong interpersonal and communication skills High energy/enthusiasm, with a strong work ethic Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in others Visible & Easily Approachable Professional Appearance Organized, pro-active, and detail oriented with experience multi-tasking Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Suite General knowledge of the game of golf is a plus

Description

Provide genuine hospitality for the members and their guests. Assist with all aspects of the golf operation with a focus on the Merchandising, Retail, and the Golf Shop. Enjoyable exposure to other aspects of the golf operation including member relations, social media, marketing, gifting, member golf tournaments, golf outings, daily play, and communications. This position is seasonal with negotiable start and end dates.

Compensation

Hourly Rate of $20.00 Gratuities Opportunity for additional income through junior clinics for a qualified individual.
