In this role with a burgeoning, innovative non-profit company, it will be critical for you to take charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Your responsibilities in this role

• Review and confirm Accounts Payable payments and purchasing documents to completion.
• Credit card reconciliation - journal entries and monthly reconciliations
• Maintain the daily cash flow report, budgeting, billing and all grants.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that all journal entries are completed, create the monthly aged A/R report, and enter and/or review accrued and deferred revenue accounts monthly to ensure revenues are accurately reflected.
• Assist with the grant budget preparation, grant reconciliations of expenses, grant application budgeting and grant fund/account/cost center creation.
• Provide support to prepare for the audit.

Requirements

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

- Working knowledge of Non-Profits and systems experience

- Associates degree, or bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Budgeting experience

- Experience with Audit Requests

- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Comprehensive knowledge of grant accounting

- Proficiency in Aging Reports

- Strong problem solving and analytical skills

- 3+ years of relevant experience
