Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5PM

The essential job duties for the Grants Portfolio Manager include:

  • Manage grant portfolios for subawards and grant agreements, ensure best practices for grant management throughout assigned divisions, and develop and present reports and summaries for leadership.
  • Assist division staffing with grant management. Provide leadership, advice, training, and support to staff within assigned divisions on grants-related issues.
  • Work with administrators and assigned divisions to develop comprehensive grant portfolios.
  • Post-award grant monitoring, including timely and accurate invoice processing, fiscal management, evaluation of submitted reports, and ensuring projects meet the division\'s and program\'s services, objectives, and needs.
  • Oversee fiscal accountability in grant agreements, including consistency of budget, financial reviews, and reporting.
  • Monitor for program compliance, risk assessment, auditing procedures, and corrective action.
  • Help develop and deliver training to program managers and division staff in aspects of post-award grant management.
Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor\'s degree in business or public administration, social/behavioral sciences, health sciences, public health, education, law or related field. OR Experience in the development of operational policies and procedures, performing quality assurance analysis/evaluation of programs; grant writing, contract management, or leading community based health/social care groups. Related coursework, training and/or education may substitute for the Bachelor\'s degree on a year-for year basis.

PREFERRED: Past grant experience is preferred.

OTHER: Hybrid in-office and remote work schedule possible after successful completion of original probation - generally after the first six months of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: The principles and techniques of program management; the principles of grant writing, administration, and monitoring; the techniques of research, planning and evaluation; program analysis/evaluation; policy and procedural development.

Skill in: Communicating with a diverse array of administrators, program management, and staff; developing and maintaining effective working relationships; researching, learning, applying and interpreting state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and standards; applying instructions and conveying information so others will understand; summarizing program and administrative data/statistics into reports; formulating goals and plans; managing time and workflow to meet deadlines; demonstrating professionalism; operating basic computer software, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and learning and operating contract management and financial systems.

Ability to: Think strategically to resolve issues; utilize analytical skills for problem solving and workflow management; learn, apply and interpret agency policies and procedures.
