Group / Activity Therapist \xe2\x80\x93 Part Time, Inpatient Psychiatry

This is a part time position working 24 hours per week. Working days are 8 hours long and we are looking for someone who can work every Saturday and Sunday plus one (1) weekday per week.

The Group Therapist is an important member of the Arbour Hospital\'s inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team. The Activity Therapist provides expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Arbour Hospital\'s inpatient psychiatric units.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals
• Facilitate 4-5 groups per day
• Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Qualifications

Requirements

• Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or in a related field preferred. OTR/L also welcome to apply
• 6 months experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient treatment program preferred
