Reinhardt University is currently accepting applications for a Head Tennis Coach.
Position Summary:
The Head Tennis Coach is a member of the AAC/Reinhardt University Athletic Department. The coach is responsible for the recruitment of student athletes that fit the mission of the university and athletic department while competing successfully within the framework of the institution.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelors Degree- A Masters Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a High School Head Coach or as a Collegiate Head/Assistant Coach.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
Directly reports to the VP for Athletics
Primary responsibilities are coaching and teaching of tennis skills.
Prepares and maintains budget within the practice and game season.
Prepares inventory of supplies and equipment.
Prepares fundraising ideas and executes on that plan to help offset additional costs
Reports on the needs and maintenance of facilities and equipment to the VP for Athletics
Attends professional meetings, clinics, and workshops, etc.
Organizes and conducts practice sessions.
Works with the Athletic Operations Manager and VP for Athletics regarding publicity and promotion of his/her team
Works with the VP for Athletics on scheduling matches.
Furnishes information regarding team roster for eligibility, etc. to the VP for Athletics.
Responsible for developing training rules and conduct of athletes.
Responsible for other details or any other assignment by the VP for Athletics
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Abides by the NAIA rules.
Ability to recruit student athletes and retain them.
