Under the general direction of the OCHSHP Director, this position performs an advanced level of administrative policy and program oversight and management of all statewide rural health programs within the Division of Rural health and Recruitment/State Office of Rural health. this position leads rural health efforts to ensure alignment with the various federal funders, the Bureau for Public health and the Department of Health. This position has the responsibilities of addressing statewide planning, policy development, division direction and coordination, and administration of evidence-based rural health interventions and programs to further the impact and outcome of health and access to care across the state. In addition, this position will provide general oversight to project management, evaluation and communication plans, as well as, ensure the continuity and capacity of the SORH staff to deliver quality work by developing supporting a culture of quality improvement and cross training. This position ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, laws, policies, and procedures governing the grants and the programs. has responsibility for the development of standard operating procedures and for monitoring, tracking, and reporting of grant program activities. Consults with leadership on highly complex individual situations that potentially have significant impact on systems or involve sensitive legal issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master\'s degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master\'s degree.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, two years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.
