Nature of Work
The Policy & Procedure Coordinator within the Office of Nutrition Services (ONS) is responsible for serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on federal regulations and nutrition service standards for the WV WIC program. This position develops, revises, and implements all policy and procedures for program administration requiring USDA approval in accordance with regulations, policy memos, and technical assistance guidance. In addition, it directs, interprets, and provides consultation and technical assistance for staff providing public health nutrition services statewide via formal and informal training sessions phone, email, and policy memos. the Policy and Procedure Coordinator collaborates with DHHR/BPH counsel and the Attorney General\'s office in responding to court orders, motions, subpoenas, and request of records received by ONS. this position represents ONS in all fair hearings, client sanctions, and te4stifying in court while also receiving, resolving, documenting, and coordinating with Local WIC clinics to address all client or clinic complaints and program abuse or fraud allegations. Functions as the Project Officer for civil rights, special needs accommodations/resources, and USDA FNS Certification and Eligibility management Evaluations which includes serving as state coordinator for Local WIC Agency Liaisons, collaborates with the ONS MIS Trainer and Nutrition Services trainer to review and evaluate all staff training curriculum for compliance with state and federal regulations. Telework is available but requires statewide travel up to 25% of the time. Other administrative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor\'s Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Substitution: Additional experience as described below may be substituted for the required training on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Four years full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a technical or program area that is related to the area of employment.
Substitution: Post-graduate education in a field related to the technical or program area may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours for one year of experience.
