Health Program ManagerDSPD Fiscal Operations
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), within the Division of Services for People with Disabilities (DSPD) is seeking a Health Program Manager to oversee and monitor the Caregiver Compensation Program. Incumbent will work with the division leadership team to address and refine policy and procedures as the program is implemented.They will recommend, advocate and implement any changes to the program as needed on an ongoing basis. They will assist families of individuals in services and support coordinators by answering questions about the program and how to apply. They will provide assistance in resolving any problems surrounding caregiver compensation including coordination with fiscal management agencies and providers. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.Principal DutiesDevelop, evaluate and review plans and criteria for the caregiver compensation program.Provides assistance in resolving issues and concerns surrounding the program.Oversee and conduct quality assurance reviews of participants of the program.Researches and reviews financial records, schedules, reports, and/or problem areas.Why Join Our Team?This is an opportunity to make a difference for Utah citizens while being a pivotal part of a dynamic team.   • Develops, evaluates, or reviews plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities; assesses feasibility of proposals;
  • Recommends, advocates and/or implements, new and or changes to existing policies and procedures, laws or regulations;
  • Provides assistance in resolving problems; approves system changes and establishes project priorities;
  • Conducts or participates in day-to-day development and monitoring of program;
  • Analyzes, summaries and reviews financial data, interprets results and/or makes recommendations;
  • Design and enhance fiscal protocols.
QualificationsCommunicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience;Talking to others to convey information effectively;Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making;Monitoring/Assessing of programs to make improvements or take corrective action;Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences;Knowledge of laws, legal codes,, government regulations,,and agency rules.Supplemental Information
  • Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
