  • Generates schedules for all applicable facilities on time utilizing advanced schedulingsoftware for over 100 providers
  • Schedules providers to Full Time Equivalent (FTE) or contracted commitment of shifts based on open availability
  • Regularly updates schedule to accommodate changes that may occur or staffing model changes. Proactively assesses monthly and ongoing coverage needs.
  • Distributes schedules in advance of the start of a given block. Confirms schedules and shifts with providers
  • Utilizes algorithms and rules within the scheduling software as well as scheduling norms established in concert with hospital medicine leadership
  • Serves an integral role in provider onboarding by loading schedule rules and norms based on contractual or FTE constructs
  • Updates and maintains provider credentials and constructs in advanced scheduling
software
  • Fosters and maintains good working relationships and communications with providers
  • Responds quickly to scheduling requests from providers and hospital medicine leadership
  • Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes and requests related to workload, emergencies, staffing and scheduling
  • Exercises a high degree of critical thinking skills and judgment in problem solving.
  • Detail oriented in approach to work with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Communicates professionally with excellent interpersonal skills including telephone and email correspondence with hospital medicine leadership and providers and other members
of the medical staff.
  • Works with minimal supervision

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
  • Previous work history that demonstrates basic office and computer skills, filing, telephone answering, reception, basic knowledge of computer software i.e. Microsoft Word, E-mail, Excel , etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance payers, preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements - Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally

Pay Range

$18.97 - $31.25 / hour
