We are seeking a Dispatcher to join the team! As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and dispatching all trucks and transportation, working around drivers schedules, and considering road conditions and weather. Your goal will be to maximize efficiency through dispatching and utilize all assets effectively while providing a positive work environment. The ideal candidate has knowledge of Hot Shot and Flatbed deliveries, DOT laws and regulations, previous management or dispatch experience, and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Handle all scheduling and coordinating for dispatching trucks and other transportation
- Handle dispatch issues as they arise, including working around last-minute changes, weather challenges, and more
- Analyze deliveries and routes, and maximize efficiency
- Create a positive, healthy work environment for both office staff and transportation staff
- Previous management or dispatch experience strongly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi task
- Must type a minimum of 45wpm
