PURPOSE STATEMENT

Accomplish the daily cleaning of smocks, maintain all sanitary equipment and supplies in the Brunswick plant by performing certain assigned tasks. Contribute to the profit and well-being of the Company by performing tasks in a safe, efficient, quality-conscious, and cost-conscious manner and by working in a cooperative manner with his/her team leader and co-workers.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work team
• Has an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelines
• Has an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelines
• Understands proper machine operating and adjusting procedures
• Must have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement and Temporary Teams, as assigned
• The persons performing these tasks will be working at floor level on concrete floors coated with a slip-resistant compound; the work routinely requires lifting up to 50 pounds; the work requires being able to push wheeled trash carts which may contain up to 100 pounds of materials; and lifting tubs of cleaning supplies, etc.; requires being able to work with two hands using cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, toilet brushes, etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES

• Learns phases and techniques of cleaning and maintaining sanitary equipment and supplies for the Brunswick plant. Performs specific tasks associated with the laundry room and various related areas.
• Cleaning plant smocks, shoe covers, aprons, glove liners and lab coats on the shift. Ensures that an adequate number of smocks are available for the shift;
• Operating the Laundry Room equipment, as needed. This may involve Rich\'s associates and/or outside service technicians; includes loading smocks into washer/dryer and operating control panel
• Maintaining adequate supply of clean smocks for plant use (all shifts)
• Inventorying plant smocks monthly (in-service and replacement); this requires counting and recording information on proper forms
• Maintaining chemical supplies in Laundry Room;
• Monitoring chemical injection system, to washing machines.
• Maintaining Main Hand Dip Station and foot bath stations with sanitizer solution at appropriate concentration, according to HACCP guidelines; keeping soap and hand towels supplied.
• Replacing hand dip sanitizer solution and hand towels on plant floor.
• Monitoring ladies\' and men\'s restrooms/locker rooms for general housekeeping condition; cleaning floors, sinks, and commodes.
