Job Description

The Houseman is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and assisting with the general maintenance of the property. This position supports housekeeping and other staff in ensuring a comfortable, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, guests, or patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and restroom sanitation. Transport linens, towels, and other supplies to the appropriate locations. Ensure all public areas are clean and presentable at all times. Move and arrange furniture or equipment as needed. Maintain and organize storage rooms for cleaning supplies and linen. Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing basic equipment. Assist with the preparation of rooms, event spaces, or guest accommodations. Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor. Maintain inventory of cleaning products and notify supervisor when supplies are low. Assist with deliveries or errands as needed. Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines. Provide friendly and courteous service to guests or residents. Assist with other duties as directed by management.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in housekeeping or maintenance is preferred but not required. Ability to lift and move heavy objects. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and manage time effectively. Flexibility to perform various tasks as needed. High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

The role may involve physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods. Work is typically performed in a hotel, private estate, hospital, or similar facility.

Pay: $16.79 - $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
