This position is open to Alaskan Residents only.Please check out the to determine if you qualify.The Division of Finance is currently offering a hire incentive bonus of up to$4,000.00 to newly hired Human Resource Technicians.The incentive bonus will be paid in two equal installments, less mandatory deductions. Employees will be eligible for the first installment after a successful completion of 90 days. Employees will be eligible for the second and final installment after the employee\'s successful completion of probation. To receive an incentive, employees are expected to agree to a two-year term of employment with the Division of Finance.What you will be doing:
The Human Resource Technician 2 is responsible for the timely and accurate processing, certification, review, and audit of all payroll and personnel actions for assigned departments. This includes assuring all payroll and leave transactions are in accordance with applicable Personnel Rules, Bargaining Unit provisions, State Statutes, and Standard Operating Procedures for the State of Alaska.Our organization, mission, and culture:

If this sounds like your skill set, or one you would like to develop, please submit an application through Workplace Alaska.Minimum QualificationsSix months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.Substitution:Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.Substitution:One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours from an accredited college or university equals one year) in any field.Special Note:High school graduation "equivalent" means one of the following: 1) a G.E.D (i.e. passing the General Educational Development test).; 2) completion of any basic adult education course of 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 hours per week); 3) six months of work experience performing duties related to office or clerical support; 4) twelve months of work experience involving some routine tasks related to office or clerical support; 5) highest grade of school completed plus any kind of work experience that totals 12 years or more; or 6) acceptance for admission in full standing by an accredited college or university."Human resource" work includes experience in recruitment and selection, classification, employee training, employer provided benefits programs, employment law compliance, personnel, payroll, or employee or labor relations.Additional Required InformationAt time of interview, please provide the following:
