Utilizes all hydrologic design techniques, including the development of hydrographs. Completes any type of roadway drainage design project, including large culverts, ditches, energy dissipaters, and complex storm sewer systems.
Analyzes all types of one-dimensional bridge projects using computer models, including unsteady flow analyses and complex bridge crossings with multiple openings. Computes scour profiles for all bridges in the model. Performs FEMA studies, including "no-rise" certifications and Letters of Map Revision.
Develops storm water management studies to document property impacts. Designs all types of sediment and erosion control devices, including sediment basins. Prepares Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans for the Notice of Intent permit process. Prepares NOI paperwork and documentation.
Monitors consultant hydraulic design studies and plans. Functions as Hydraulic Team Leader when the Team Leader is not present. Provides technical supervision to the Hydraulic Design Team. Assists in training other Hydraulic Design Team Members. Performs complex flood routings using computer programs. Performs other related duties as assigned.A bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management and four (4) years of engineering or construction management work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
