Also, assists in the pre-purchase planning, procurement, and installation of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served.Minimum Qualifications:\xc2\xb7 Meets or exceeds Bronson\xe2\x80\x99s Standards for Excellence\xc2\xb7 Associate degree in related field of medical electronics, electronic technology, imaging service technology, BMET certificate or equivalent military training and experience operating imaging test equipment.\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience servicing critical diagnostic imaging equipment.\xc2\xb7 Critical modality manufacture or third-party training. Example: MRI, CT or Nuc Med\xc2\xb7 X-Ray fundamentals certificate (RSTI, DITEC) or equivalent.\xc2\xb7 Experience operating complex test equipment, noninvasive KV meter, oscilloscope, and other devices.\xc2\xb7 Strong Project Management and Regulatory Compliance skills.\xc2\xb7 Serves as a subject matter expert for technical issues.\xc2\xb7 Serves as a mentor to Level I and Level II staff members.\xc2\xb7 Completion of six professional development hours per yearTraining, Education, Economic Value:\xc2\xb7 Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) preferred but not required.\xc2\xb7 Network +/CCNA are preferred.\xc2\xb7 Economic value of in-house trained staff to decrease cost of outside labor and contract dollars. This will decrease the amount of downtime on high use equipment. In-house staff will be allowed flex time to provide maintenance during slow or down time.\xc2\xb7 A Valid Michigan Driver\'s License is required. Needs to participate in meetings, seminars, training, workshops, and conferences as required.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.Duties include:\xc2\xb7 Must possess working knowledge of radiation physics, medical terminology, medical instrumentation, anatomy, physiology, imaging service techniques, 21 CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) (Code of Federal Regulations)\xc2\xb7 Must possess broad knowledge and understanding of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), NFPA (National Fire Protection), The Joint Commission, EOC, and other specific regulations and standards pertaining to clinical and radiology equipment service and repair.\xc2\xb7 Maintain up-to-date understanding of The Joint Commission and NFPA standards as well as state and federal regulations.\xc2\xb7 Must possess specialized training by manufacturer or third-party equipment repair in such areas as MRI/CT, nuclear medicine, diagnostic x-ray, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound, or radiation therapy equipment.\xc2\xb7 Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.\xc2\xb7 Maintain documentation on new equipment, inspections, and equipment repairs and failures.\xc2\xb7 Provide technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation and maintenance to personnel.\xc2\xb7 Perform related duties as assigned.\xc2\xb7 Must be able to communicate (verbally and in writing) with medical staff, equipment users, technical peers, and department managers.\xc2\xb7 Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact positively with all levels of hospital personnel and vendors to achieve positive outcomes, including physicists, physicians, administration, etc.\xc2\xb7 Meets target objectives and standards for timeliness and quality of Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules and repairs of general and specialized clinical equipment.\xc2\xb7 Responsible for coordinating repairs with vendors and users when needed, this includes follow up paperwork and verification that issues are resolved.\xc2\xb7 Attending training session on equipment maintenance to keep up to date on technological and medical equipment advances.\xc2\xb7 Provides on-call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotating basis, as assigned.\xc2\xb7 Work which produces elevated levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g., interactive, and repetitive or small detailed work requiring alertness and concentration for sustained periods of time, the operation of and full attention to a personal computer or CRT between 40 and 70 percent of the time.\xc2\xb7 Involves regularly lifting bulky or moderately heavy weights (i.e., up to fifty pounds), and occasionally assisting with heavier tasks or expending the equivalent effort in pushing, pulling, or otherwise handling material, equipment, and other objects.ShiftTime Type Full timeScheduled Weekly Hours 40Cost Center 1845 Biomedical Imaging (BMH)Agency Use Policy and Agency Submittal DisclaimerBronson Healthcare Group and its affiliates (\xe2\x80\x9cBronson\xe2\x80\x9d) strictly prohibit the acceptance of unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third-party recruiting agencies ("Recruiters") in response to job postings or word of mouth.
