Job Summary

Provide excellent customer service to existing employer groups. Build and maintain professional agent/agency/employer relationships. Support other team staff to maintain and grow membership and sales in new and existing employer groups.

Essential Functions

  • Renewal Strategizing--Group/Employer Retention: Personally manage all aspects of target employers and/or fully funded mid-sized accounts assigned. These accounts require strategic, proactive consultative management including rate renewal strategy, benefit consulting, relationship building, problem solving, data analysis, and solution implementation.
Engage clients and agents with key personnel to demonstrate value of Priority Health and Spectrum Health, and build strategic alliances. * Membership/Sales Growth--Contract Retention: Work with Manager to develop and implement strategic plans for each account consistent with organization\xe2\x80\x99s mission. Main objective is to retain and increase membership, build strategic alliances with agents and accounts and improve service to clients and agents. Identify opportunities to sell new products, services and replace other carriers/service providers. Report opportunities, challenges and activity for each account quarterly to Manager.
  • Internal Participation in Leadership--Teamwork: Represent interests of and perspective of clients in team meetings and planning sessions. Strategize issues and opportunities with other staff to incorporate client perspective in Priority Health and Spectrum Health\xe2\x80\x99s goals and objectives. Participate in other internal committees to help achieve company and client goals where appropriate.
  • Professional and Personal Development: Role model effective account management to stimulate improvement in overall account management strategies. Participate in improving the level of sophistication in our employer and agent communications to better differentiate Priority Health and Spectrum Health from the competitive market. Maintain appropriate licensure through continuing education. Participate in applicable corporate learning and development opportunities.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with several other departments to complete Agent/Employer Requests for Proposal and Request for Information on an ongoing basis. Contribute as a Project Team Member on various ongoing initiatives, i.e. Employer Newsletters, Employer/Agent seminars and workshops, etc. Account for work performed and track maintenance of membership through completion of monthly reports, CRM software, requests from Manager etc.
  • Attend professional conferences as needed and when approved in advance by Manager.
  • Attend continuing education classes in order to maintain active Life and Health agent licenses (Priority Health).
Qualifications
  • Preferred Bachelor\'s Degree a related field (health care preferred)
  • 2 years of relevant experience Required
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry. Preferred
  • LIC-Health Agent License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Priority Health 90 Days required
