Responsibilities

• Client Service
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stem cleaning, shampooing or vacuuming
• Gather and empty trash and recycling.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Operate riding floor scrubbers, vacuums, sweepers and carpet extractors.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.
• Change light bulbs and air filters
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
• Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, and snow shovels, and spread snow melting chemicals.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Entry level
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate basic instructions

Physical work requirements and work conditions

• Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 10 pounds; Frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Perform overhead work often while balanced standing on a ladder.
• Bend, kneel, twist and reach to get to areas difficult to access and/or confined areas like closets, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
• Trunk Strength \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously
• Flexibility \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
• Manual Dexterity \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
• Oral Comprehension \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
• Static Strength \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
• Near Vision \xe2\x80\x94 The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
