Industrial Facility Master Planner and Advance Planning Lead

We are currently looking for a Facility Master Planner and Advance Planning Lead to join our Advisian team. The qualified individual will have led master plan development and have an excellent track record in sectors such as water treatment, mining, refining and chemicals, power plants, renewable energy, and industrial manufacturing infrastructure planning projects. Expectations of this role are to lead by working with our multi-disciplinary team to bring unique industry practices in layout development and planning of the process units, utilities, industrial gases, flares, warehouse, substation, pipe racks, logistics (road, marine, rail), drainage, control rooms, safety shelters, warehouses, office and operation buildings, truck loading, rail yard and loading facility, jetty/port, conveyance, construction and laydown areas, turns around space requirements, etc.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to introducing world-wide "best in class" master plan development. Master planning with layout centric optimization focusing on space efficiency, heat and material management, safety requirements, occupied facility location, gardening requirements, movement and facilities cost optimization, drainage, grading, constructability and modularization, security and evacuation, buffer zones, construction camps, project interfaces, and buildings, aspects. Understanding of how traffic / workflow impacts layout is a plus as well as potential local communities relocation. Experience with leading the development of facility master plan and site layouts for mine infrastructure, gas processing, LNG facilities, crude oil refineries, petrochemical complex, such as cracker, PE, MEG, methanol, PP, Urea, plants. Overall OSBL facility planning for, material handling, warehouse, bagging plants, power plants, utilities, ports, jetty, as well as storage facilities and pipeline integration as well as substations and power lines.

This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work out of several Advisian offices across North America depending on your location. As our ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role, your responsibilities will consist of the following tasks:
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Grow the master planning practice by developing and implementing Business Development plans defined by Master Planning Practice Lead;
• Keeping abreast of local industrial/commercial/community business activities, plans and future developments;
• Foster and manage effective relationships with existing and prospective local clients;
• Focus on delivering excellence, meeting and exceeding client expectations and selling the master planning service offerings of Advisian and Worley;
• Delivery of local projects in accordance with sound planning principles for energy and resources client (i.e., maintain project quality, schedule and budget); and
• Travel as required to foster development of the discipline across geographies.
• Focus on integrating multi-disciplinary services from Worley to provide wholistic solution to client.

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Urban Design, or Industrial master planning
• Minimum 15 years\' experience in planning, facility designing, layout development
• Minimum 5-year experience in delivering large/multi-disciplined project /consultant team for petrochemical or downstream project
• Flexibility to travel and work with team members in other offices remotely
• Deep knowledge of the Oil and Gas business with petrochemical, downstream facilities, OSBL, material handling and layout development experience
• Registered as a Professional Engineer within your respective geography
• Member of Professional and Technical Societies;
• A high level of business acumen, business development and customer focus;
• Understands current sector/technologies;
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for building/growing businesses, entrepreneurial and pro-active;
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to review and edit reports, documentation and other client deliverables;
• Demonstrable commitment to HSE management; and
• Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems;
