POSITION INFORMATION

Title: Industrial Services Environmental Technician
Reports to: Site Supervisor
Location: Saint Paul Minnesota
Pay Range and Basis of Pay: Hourly paid weekly (non-exempt); $22 to $29 per hour
Anticipated scheduled hours per week: 40

HOW YOU\xe2\x80\x99D SUPPORT BAY WEST

• Provide field support for the response and cleanup of hazardous and non-hazardous material releases
• Conduct sampling and monitoring of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Prepare daily reports of actions taken during an Emergency Response call
• Communicate effectively with internal and external clients
• Assist with regular equipment checks, maintenance, and inventory, instrument calibration, facility maintenance, facility organization, snow removal as needed and available and other duties as assigned
• Actively participate on On-Call Emergency Response team \xe2\x80\x93 approximately one week every six to eight weeks
• Provide support to Waste Transport and Disposal team
• Properly maintain and train with ER and Oil Spill Removal Organization (OSRO) equipment so that equipment is properly used and in working condition

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED or 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid driver\'s license; Commercial Driver\'s License Class B or A helpful
• Active 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate helpful
• Basic computer skills, such as using Microsoft Office products, communicating through email, etc.
• Ability to travel periodically and work some weekends as part of the Emergency Response team
• Possess or have access to reliable means of transportation on a 24-hour basis
