Job Description
Under general supervision from the Accounting Manager,
Performs professional duties in the creation and maintenance of accounting records the verification and documentation of financial transactions or the preparation and management of agency budgets for Industries. * Prepares daily cash transaction reports, deposits and posts the general ledger.
- Maintains and audits account records to ensure accuracy.
- Prepares and maintains reports to assist in preparation of financial statements.
- Manages Industries\' petty cash account.
- Research and resolve outstanding accounts receivables balances.
- Maintains control of all fixed asset records by conducting monthly audits.
- Prepares Prison Industry Enhancement (PIE) reports for billing purposes and distributes payroll reports.
- Other administrative duties as required.

The South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or banking. A bachelor\'s degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience. (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma
- Three (3) years of experience in accounting, auditing, finance, banking, bookkeeping or related field and one (1) year of experience in SCEIS or another SAP.
