As our Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for all IT security activities for Merchants, including general IT security, firewall, MDR, security vendor oversight, and cyber security. IT Security audit planning and support will also be essential to this role. Effective communication and excellent customer service are equally important to technical skills and experience. • Led and mentored the IT security team to be technically excellent and people-centric.
• Supported IT security and cybersecurity operations, planning, and vendors.
• Helped design and implement general IT security measures including cybersecurity preventative and incident response duties, including forensics investigations and reporting.
• Led vulnerability/patch remediation efforts to manage at or below peer banks\' ratings.
• Led IT security projects and provided project updates to department managers.
• Recommended additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security.
• Analyzed and made recommendations for security improvements to cloud services usage, configurations, and best practices.
• Evaluated Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) vendor-provided cloud services and documented controls that managed the risk of usage.
• Reviewed and updated IT security policies and procedures as needed.
• Led and supported IT audits and associated remediation and documentation.
• Participated in the local IT security community, sharing and receiving ideas, as well as keeping up with the latest trends and threats.

Requirements:

What we are looking for\xe2\x80\xa6

• A master\'s degree in computer science, IT, or Systems Engineering, or MBA, is preferred. A bachelor\'s degree in a related field is required.
• 7 + years of experience designing and implementing security programs, incident detection, incident response, and forensics.
• Threat hunting and ethical hacking exposure/experience.
• Experience with Firewalls (functionality and maintenance), SIEM tools, Office 365 E5 Security, AWS cloud, and Endpoint Security.
• Good understanding of security & networking best practices.
• IT security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CCSP are desired.
• Preferred experience with supporting a financial services organization.
• Must be willing to work in-office full-time. No remote or hybrid at this time.
