This individual oversees and coordinates infrastructure systems

services

staff

and activities. All work is expected to leverage the best practices of voice of customer

emotional intelligence

and empathy in the spirit of Worthington Industries Philosophy to deliver exemplary service. This role will be responsible for managing and creating efficiencies for all infrastructure policies

processes

and procedures. In addition

this position will develop a high performing team that is aligned to the Worthington Industries philosophy. Other responsibilities include deployment of high-quality

secure systems to production environments (at or under department standards for quality/defects

availability

performance

security)

timely delivery of work products based on commitment dates and/or service level agreements and application of existing and emerging technologies (innovation) in an effective

efficient

timely

and beneficial manner to the organization.

What You\'ll Do Here:

• Lead and provide day-to-day management of direct reports: Continually improve team culture in alignment with Worthington Industries Philosophy

accurately plan and track work resource forecasts for direct reports

continually mentor

coach

and develop direct reports to meet company goals (short and long term)

• Track and meet or exceed availability

performance

security

and other key department/company goals metrics. Accurately plan and track financial forecasts for assigned cost center(s); accurately manage licensing

subscriptions

and contracts.

• Participate and facilitate support calls if needed to resolve complex system issues
• Author

review

and provide feedback on system solution documentation (architecture/design

run books

etc.)

• Understand business processes

goals

drivers

and priorities. Facilitate planning

strategy

and roadmap activities aligned to business needs.

• Support

train

and share knowledge with peers

end users

and other teams as needed. Work and professionally interact with external vendors to plan and perform required work

• Perform in a continuous improvement mode (constantly look for ways to operate more efficiently and effectively; and apply change). Adhere to department principles

processes

standards

conventions

and industry best practices when performing work

We Would Love to Hear from You If You Have:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science

Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

• Have at least 8 years of experience managing infrastructure systems for a medium to large company and at least 7 years implementing and supporting multiple infrastructure technologies
• Demonstrated experience in providing exemplary service delivery to meet or exceed end user needs and satisfaction
• Experience managing teams of 8 or more for medium to large size projects or work efforts at/or under budget
• Strong experience building and supporting distributed data centers

both onsite and in the cloud

including DR and BC

• Ability to work within a distributed environment of 15+ sites

5000+ users

• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience of coordinating a team performing support and work in the following areas:

+ Cloud service providers like Azure

AWS

etc.
+ Server hardware

like Dell

Cisco
+ Data center hardware and environmental elements like racking

cabling

UPS

cooling

fire suppression

etc.
+ Server operating systems and virtualization

• Troubleshooting

• Solid working understanding of ITIL

• Experience with design and architecture of infrastructure systems using industry best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills
