Instructional Systems Designer

We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in national security by crafting effective training.

On our team, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work with SMEs to capture your customer\xe2\x80\x99s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their mission. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you\xe2\x80\x99ll design training material and performance support tools by following the ADDIE model.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new instructional design ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen. You\xe2\x80\x99ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies like gamification to shape a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll meet with SMEs throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you\xe2\x80\x99ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students.

You have:

  • 3+ years of experience with developing instructor-led, self-paced, and e-learning courses using defined instructional design methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience with learning analytics and data gathering techniques, developing strategies or solutions for learning needs, designing and developing innovative and engaging learning solutions, supporting implementation or launch of training programs, evaluating learning success, and incorporating improvements and revisions
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Experience with using graphics and visuals to supplement learning
  • Experience with engaging with and communicating respectfully with clients
  • Knowledge of eLearning development tools
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor\'s degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with LMS
  • Ability to articulate storylines for eLearning and video design, advanced proficiency in PPT
  • Possession of excellent QA/WC skills
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent change management and change communication skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Instructional Design of Education

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual\xe2\x80\x99s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen\xe2\x80\x99s total compensation package for employees.
