Sierra Nevada Job Corps offers young adults vocational training in a variety of trades. Located 12 miles north of Reno, Nevada, the sprawling 40-acre campus provides outstanding recreational opportunities, well-equipped learning labs and individualized, self-paced vocational and academic programs.
The Substitute Instructor is responsible for providing instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula, in compliance with government and management directives.
Job duties include:
- provide students with basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas.
- motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
- maintain accurate attendance records.
- other duties which assigned.
Qualifications:
Certified, Licensed, or accredited in the state which the center is located by a professional trade organization OR three years experience in a hard or soft trade (welding, nursing, administration, automotive) OR Bachelors Degree and certified to teach in the state of Nevada
