The environment is very collaborative and partnership oriented. Audit team members and leaders, continuously solicit input from across the function to ensure greater diversity of thought. As Data Analytics Leader, you will be engaged in and valued for your contributions to those collaborations. In your role you will have exposure to a variety of business processes and operations which require interactions with all levels of employees \xe2\x80\x93 from independent contributors to C-suite management. As the Data Analytics Leader you will constantly be exposed to new environments, which present opportunities to learn on all engagements. Internal Auditors regularly identify roles within the business for internal promotion, which is encouraged as part of Internal Audit\xe2\x80\x99s overall value-proposition to the business.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Lead the execution of the Data Analytics strategy and methodology for repeatable processes and procedures to support and enable internal audit and the SOX/MAR PMO
  • Facilitate the identification of opportunities to utilize data analysis in annual, audit, and ongoing assessment of risks and controls
  • Assist in obtaining key source system data as requested by Audit Services leadership
  • Extract and transform data for use in continuous auditing and ad-hoc special requests
  • Communicate effectively with clients by demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing, timeliness in completing tasks and communicating potential conflicts
  • Author Audit Reports and other professional writing fit for presentation to the Genworth Audit Committee and Executive Committee, and Segment leaders
  • Visualize and report data findings professionally and creatively to communicate results
  • Fulfill ad-hoc reporting requests from Internal Audit Leaders
  • Train and mentor audit teams in the use of data analysis and data analysis tools
  • Maintain current knowledge of matters impacting the industry, the company as well as regulatory requirements impacting internal controls and relevant risks
  • May serve as the Administrative Manager for internal auditors who also specialize in analytics
  • Lead Internal Audit teams to plan, execute and report audit or advisory engagements
  • Support the department organization through team initiatives to enhance processes and engagement
  • Continue professional development through commitment to ongoing training and departmental performance metrics
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, accounting, finance, technology, data science, or a relevant field
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Data analytics skills and experience working with Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Spotfire
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills \xe2\x80\x93 especially in professional writing
  • Very strong researching, critical thinking and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience serving as a people leader managing performance and providing coaching
  • Professional exposure to audit or risk management professional practices
  • Knowledge and experience with audit methodologies and requirements
  • Relevant professional certification such as CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE, CA, CAP or CFA
  • Experience using data-driven storytelling through data visualizations
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience

For the State of New York:The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $123,200 up to the maximum of $221,800. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 15% of your base compensation. The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
