Providing customer service and performing scheduling support in an efficient manner in accordance with established procedures as directed by the Scheduling Transportation Supervisor.Who is PACE of Southwest Michigan?PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) of Southwest Michigan is a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to uniquely bridge the health and social supports required to help preserve the independence and dignity of our participants so that they can remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Related Associates degree preferred.Experience: High-level computer skills required with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience in a clerical scheduling position preferred.Number/Type of Employees Supervised: NoneLicensure, Registry, or Certification Required: Valid MI driver\'s license preferredSpecial Training: Only acts within scope of practice. Meet a standardized set of orientation and/or individual competencies for the specific position description established by PACE of Southwest Michigan, and approved by CMS before working independently.Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact.Specific Requirements and Considerations: May be subject to exposure and handling of infectious waste, diseases, conditions or hazardous chemicals, etc., including potential exposure to TB, AIDS, and/or Hepatitis B.Ages of Patients Rendered Care: Adult, GeriatricKey Responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Responsible for scheduling participant appointments, coordinating transportation and authorizations for services\xc2\xb7 Reports to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) appointment schedules. Works with staff to ensure that authorization for services have been obtained\xc2\xb7 Serves as a liaison between Clinic Operations Manager, Clinic Staff and Transportation Coordinator on appointments and communication with family and caregivers of participants\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all participant information is documented, and all compliance paperwork guidelines are being met\xc2\xb7 Communicates with contracted providers as appropriate\xc2\xb7 Produces schedule for in-house dental and audiology appointments\xc2\xb7 Maintain monthly calendar for participant appointments\xc2\xb7 Abides by all established PACE of Southwest Michigan policies, rules and regulations\xc2\xb7 All other duties as assignedSkills and Knowledge\xc2\xb7 Functions as a member of the team\xc2\xb7 Works with co-workers to achieve shared goals\xc2\xb7 Accepts directions and constructive feedback from supervisor and clinic providers\xc2\xb7 Excellent attention to organizational details\xc2\xb7 Communication skills must be excellent when communicating to clinic staff\xc2\xb7 Ability to multi-task\xc2\xb7 Advanced ability in the use of computer software, correspondence skills, report writing and telecommunicationsPM20Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
