The IPM Technician will mix and apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation or chemical application on trees, shrubs, lawns, and/or botanical crops. The role of the IPM Technician usually requires specific training and State or Federal certification.
Applies fertilizers and plant protectants to landscape plants and turfgrass.
Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying equipment.
Compiles reports of pesticide usage.
Properly cleans equipment each day.
Completes daily and weekly calibration checks.
Repairs any leaking equipment.
Reports any equipment malfunctions that cannot be repaired by the technician.
Makes minor equipment repairs.
