  • Position: IT Help Desk Specialist
  • Location: Honolulu, HI
  • Clearance: Secret or Higher
Specific Job Responsibilities:Help Desk Operations:
  • Attend, operate, and manage the MRC, P Hawaii Help Desk from 0800 to 1600, Monday to Friday.
  • Provide IT-related in-processing/out-processing activities for MRC, P personnel.
  • Service walk-in customers requiring IT assistance and manage the MRC, P ticket queue.
  • Ensure the help desk is attended 95% of the time during operational hours
End User Device (EUD) Deployment:
  • Deploy new and replacement EUDs, including initial imaging, installation, deployment, and management of computers and software.
  • Ensure all EUDs are compliant with Information Assurance (IA) and top-down directed controls.
  • Document IA compliance checks and EUD deployments in the designated ticketing system.
  • Support necessary connections and setup for EUDs, excluding the movement of furniture or peripherals.
EUD Disposal:
  • Provide technical and administrative support for the disposal of obsolete IT equipment.
  • Perform data transfer, wiping, labeling, documenting, tracking, and disposal of IT equipment.
  • Remove associated active directory accounts for retired equipment.
Incident Management:
  • Document all work in the current IT ticketing system.
  • Update the status of open tickets weekly and resolve tickets for completed work.
  • Provide workflow management support for the helpdesk, including reviewing, assigning, and distributing IT work tickets.
Knowledge Base and SOP Maintenance:
  • Update and maintain the relevance and accuracy of Knowledge Bases (KBs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the ticketing system.
Project and Work Updates:
  • Provide weekly project and work updates.
  • Attend and participate in the IT weekly status update meeting.
IT Customer Support Services:
  • Provide tier II IT customer support services for MRC, P Headquarters in both Hawaii (onsite) and JBLM, Washington (remotely).
  • Resolve technical operational problems for approximately 100 users / 150-200 EUDs.
  • Provide support and training to individual customers/users on basic desktop computer operations and application software.
VTC Troubleshooting:
  • Provide basic, tier I VTC troubleshooting as required.
  • Coordinate with the Government IT lead or submit trouble tickets for support that exceeds tier I troubleshooting.
Cybersecurity Support:
  • Support the Cybersecurity staff with Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment (IAVA) compliance and remediation/mitigation.
Site Coordination:
  • Provide day-to-day personnel management of contractor staff.
  • Notify COR of any absence that may impact services and provide a mitigation plan for long-term absence.
  • Coordinate in- and out-processing of employees, ensuring all certification requirements are collected, tracked, and presented to the government.
Position Qualifications:Education:
  • BA/BS Degree
Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of experience
Certification:
  • Must possess and maintain an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level I (or higher) professional certification.
