As an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer within PNC\'s Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer will ensure the availability and functionality of all of Tempus Technologies\' IT Infrastructure Systems. This includes planning, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network/server hardware, software, and communication links while ensuring minimal downtime. This position will also diagnose, escalate appropriately, resolve, and document hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion as well as provide end user training and support where required.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve both internal and indirect customer facing issues in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work with different systems, software, and hardware and follow standard procedures to escalate unresolved issues to appropriate departments.
  • Monitor overall system health including the status of network services to ensure that all devices and circuits are working at optimum performance.
  • Work within Jira SD and communicate with card requestors, document incident resolutions, accurately link card relationships and review cards for overall quality.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documents, procedures, and policies including SLAs and \xe2\x80\x9cHow To\xe2\x80\x9d articles to streamline the support process.
  • Follow security best practices that will assist in maintaining a stable and highly secure IT environment.
  • Maintain compliance with key industry IT standards including PCI and SOC compliance.
  • During designated times, be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical production incidents.

  • Collaborates with engineers, architects, developers and other staff to meet project objectives.
  • Analyzes the technological needs of customers and provides ongoing support for clients.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
